Your images

Your images are processed entirely in your browser and are not uploaded to ImageTidy. When you select a file, it is read by your browser, decoded, redrawn on a canvas and re-encoded on your own device. The finished file is created locally and saved by your browser’s download mechanism.

We never receive your image data, so we cannot store it, analyse it, share it or lose it. No image bytes are sent to ImageTidy, to any cloud storage, to any external image-processing service, to analytics or to advertising systems.

To be precise rather than dramatic: the website itself makes ordinary network requests — it loads pages, styles, fonts and scripts, and your browser tells our host your IP address and user agent in the process, as it does for every website. What those requests never contain is your image data.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, subject and message you type are sent to our server and forwarded to our support inbox by an email delivery provider so we can read and reply to them. We use that information only to answer you. Please do not send images or other personal data through the form.

Hosting and logs

The site is served by a hosting provider that, like all web hosts, processes standard technical request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) in order to deliver pages and keep the service secure. We do not use that data to build a profile of you.

Local storage and cookies

We store one small item in your browser’s local storage: the timestamps of your recent free image operations, used to show your remaining free allowance. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Signing in stores a session token in your browser so Premium follows you across devices. ImageTidy itself sets no advertising cookies; the advertising provider described below may set its own cookies or similar technologies. Clearing your browser data removes all of these.

Advertising

Free pages may display banner advertising supplied by Asterra, a third-party ad network. Ads are loaded inside isolated frames placed below the tools, so the ad code cannot read anything you are working on. Asterra and its partners may set cookies or similar technologies and may use your IP address, device and browser information, and the page you are viewing to select and measure ads. We do not send them any image data, contact-form data or account information. Premium subscribers see no ads.

Payments

Paid subscriptions are not available yet. When Premium launches, payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor that collects the billing details it needs (such as your email address and card information) directly. We will never see or store your card number, and this page will be updated with the specifics before any payment can be taken.

Your rights

Since we hold almost nothing about you, there is usually nothing to export or delete. If you have written to us and want your message removed from our inbox, ask and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Questions about privacy can go through the contact form.
